Obesity is a problem many people are occupied with. The struggle against the extra pounds makes many people despair because all their personal efforts are permanent ineffective. I follow a proven concept to reduce your excess weight. In the process my work is based on the latest scientific findings. The pillars of the treatment consist of nutritional medicine, psychological care and exercise therapy.

In case of morbid obesity only the operative treatment often success. Based on my additional surgical training I have expertise to assess an indication of the different surgical procedures. Because obesity often is associated with other many co-morbidities I cooperate with special colleagues in cardiology, diabetology, gastroenterology and psychology. Particularly for the surgical treatment I work together with highly qualified surgeons (Prof. Dr. V. Lange, Prof. Dr. M. Pross).

Our team has expanded! Because of increasing number of patients, Dr. Heike Schröder, specialist in internal medicine is acting in support of specialized practice since January 2012.

Currently we treat about 2200 obese people per quarter in practice.

To guarantee best service for the variety of patients and waiting times in a moderate time frame our team will expand. So we improve practice procedures steadily.
